SLAOUI SAID

Born in 1964 in Rabat, Morocco. Curious in character, I have been drawn to the fine arts and research since my childhood. My inspiration by several renowned painters such as GHARBAOUI and CHERKAOUI Moroccan painters and my fascination with their masterpieces, pushed me to run this world of imaginary creativity and this style of expression. I have been painting for 15 years.

My first paintings were bold paintings in the sense that I started a new adventure in an imaginary world and above all were characterized by the definition of the expression style and research themes.

After careful consideration and personal conviction, I opted for the abstract given its freedom of expression, imagination and life against the figurative that limits you in time and space.

My style of expression on a wooden support that marks my masterpieces is based on texture, form and color in relation to themes of joy, love, and life.

My works try to carve a plastic method in the treatment of color, lighting and space, based on representations of the dialectic of rhythm and color on the one hand; and shape and texture on the other hand. The three elements, color, shape and texture, constitute the patterns of signs that redistribute things and organize them according to the law of the imagination.

I also see that these three elements give off a powerful beauty that fascinates and attracts the amazed eyes of the beholder to the search for meaning and join sensitivity to beauty.

Favoring painting on wood over canvas is made by choice because first of all it is a rigid support and therefore safer and secondly it is a support that is suitable for many techniques formerly used by painters under the ancient Egypt or during the renaissance.
